After a trip back to the States went a little longer than expected it is so, so good to back home in London. Christmas time is my most favorite time. I’m talking like I get teary eyed walking by glistening lights, or the thought of a massive Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square and then throw in the concept of ice skating and Christmas markets and I’m practically weeping tears of joy. So I hopped off the plane yesterday morning and was determined to let the Christmassing commence! So that it did. And even better to be reunited with Ben and on top of that my best friend Hope. We made our way to Hyde Park to see the widely spoken of, Winter Wonderland, for ourselves.
Also I am still baffled by the concept that Hope and I live in the same city. And even more so that the city is London. After 14 years of friendship, in which the past five or so have been long distance it is crazy that we get to live this little dream together. Who would of thought?! Not us. That’s for sure. But boy am I beyond excited for these next few months of taking on London together.
Oh how I missed this guy! I don’t think I’m much of a fan of long distance anymore ;) Also, do take note of his Christmas-esque sweater. Christmas is growing on him.
Trees! Lights! Mulled wine! The whole place is filled with little vendors, treats, lights, and so many warm beverages.
Also, here you can take your chances at ice curling.
Here is the one ride we rode. Essentially it’s your typical carnival swings, but it takes you oh so high. You get to experience a lovely view while your eyes pour water due to the wind.
Blurry, but the best we got. Really glad to be back with him.
This has nothing to do with Winter Wonderland. But look at him! I do love that nephew of mine and getting to spend time at home with him!
This next week I intend to do all things Christmas. London really knows how to roll out the red carpet in terms of Christmas events. Tis the season :)
