Oh, Cannes! I wish I had a post of a million crazy things we did in Cannes, but in reality we ate loads of bread at breakfast overlooking the city and sat ourselves on a beach. It was awesome.
We were apprehensive at first of our location we picked (Ben practically had to climb a mountain whilst lugging up our oversized bag) but it ended up being such a treat. It was a lovely, quiet old home and came with some dang good breakfast that awaited us each morning. We also had the pleasure of taking our sweet time in the mornings with a beautiful view of the city.
The home itself was beautiful and dreamy and perfect.
We made our way down to the port on our first full day to check out the boats and find the perfect beach spot.
We sat, read, splashed around in the sea, took a few naps, picnicked on the beach, and then took a few more naps. Glorious I tell you!
When we both felt as though we were roasted we wandered through the streets and even stumbled upon a panorama view of the city just as a storm was rolling in creating a very cool looking sky.
Then it was about that time of the day when Ben gets hangry if he doesn’t have his afternoon snack (meal, rather). A trip to a nearby creperie did just the trick! Afterwards, we checked out a new beach and proceeded to do the same as previous mentioned.
That evening, we showered up and made our way back towards the water for some wine and tapas and finished with a walk along the sea. The next morning was a slow one indeed. After that ideal breakfast again Ben did a little dissertation-ing while I worked out and we packed up our bags as well as our lunches for one last picnic on the beach before catching the train to Cassis.
Short and sweet. Just what we needed, with a whole lot of sunshine and beach time!
