Happy New Year to you! I hope your New Year’s Eve and Day were filled with the best of things! Our whole week leading up to New Years we have been enjoying London with Ben’s roommate from the Naval Academy. Borough market eating, wandering, and site seeing were all in order. (We love visitors! Come one, come all!)
Here we have the Shard up close and personal.
A little afternoon tea on the top floor of the Tate Modern Museum with a top notch view of the city.
A few views from walking over the bridges. Any time I walk over the bridges I get all sentimental and heart eyes about this place. It’s just so lovely.
And then came New Years Eve! Tapas at Casa Brindisa in South Kensington gained a whole lot of points in my book.
Then back to our flat before heading down to Embankment to a Masquerade party and fireworks!
And just like that it was 2015! Hoorayy!
This morning was such a treat. Right outside our flat was the main area for the London New Years Day Parade and Ben and I had the best seats in the house. I’ve always had this dream of watching the Macy’s Day Parade from a window above the city (picture Miracle on 34th Street scene), and it became reality today. We have crazy huge windows in all the rooms and bedrooms so we would start at one end of the flat and make our way to the other to see all the dances, bands, and a whole lot of London Tube themed acts. We also made several new friends below who waved, pointed at Ben and I, and took our picture. How kind of them.
I am so excited for 2015. For the travels, adventures, new friends and places, and to enter in to this new season. There is something so fun about starting a brand new year, and trying to remember to write 2015 on everything. What are you most excited about?!
