Somehow these snapshots never made their way on the blog. A few weeks back Ben and I had the joy of a few days at the beach with family. Gosh what a gift it was to have my biggest worry be whether I wanted to lay out on the beach or by the pool. The vacation started strong with a stop by Duck Donuts. We figured our kind family was feeding us divine seafood each night at the beach all week, the least we could do was show up with doughnuts.

The house we stayed in was stunning. I mean I could get used to waking up with this view every once in a while. Waking up in Hatteras is one of my favorite things for a few reasons. The Radfords like to wake up early and everyone gets moving whether it be a run on the beach, a bike ride, or a quick workout and it is such a great way to start the day. The kitchen is always filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, pancakes, and bacon. To top it off, the cereal options are endless. It’s just the greatest.

Beach activities include: volleyball, soccer, Settlers of Catan, puzzles, cornhole, and walks on the beach.
We’ve had four years of practice with this pose and backdrop below.
It was the perfect few days of relaxing, reading, eating, and a lot of Settlers.
